Waltz Under The Stars

Every year on Canada day (July 1st) I go and see the fireworks Except for those odd times when I haven't gone . For the past 3 years I have gone with my boyfriend and I really enjoyed doing that _{Although the first time he wasn't my boyfriend} . I kind of considered drawing me and him in this instead of my own characters, but that would be to embarrassing so I decided to put Light and Akrin in instead. 
It was kind of refreshing since I haven't done much for Return: To the Valley for the past few months - which is all my own fault.  Hopefully I can get back into that habit, but I hope this is good enough for now. 

But for those who don't know, I do absolutely love waltzes. I started drawing this and did most of the work listening to pieces like The Beautiful Blue Danube, The Second Waltz, and Kaiserwalzer. Until today when I just start listening to nyancat and Kagerou Project songs...

Fireworks are hard to paint... Especially trying to make them all look different. So I did actually end up cheating on them by just duplicating them for each different time I made one. 

This piece was done in about 4 days, and I'd estimate it took about maybe around 15 hours. It was all done in Paint Tool SAI.
